About this event
Handbuilding For Beginners is a five-week course open to anyone interested.
During each two-hour class you will be taught the fundamentals of hand built pottery. Every week will build up your skills with slabs, coils, molds, templates, amongst other techniques. A variety of different techniques will be taught, with one or two projects complete per week. In the last class you will learn how to glaze your masterpieces (we have lots of colours to choose from). Pots then go into the kiln again for the last time. We will notify you when your work is ready for pickup.
Please arrive 15 mins early to the first class to allow for intros, getting oriented and ready so we can begin class on time. Subsequent classes, please use your judgment on how early you need to come in order to be ready. We all want to maximize the experience for everyone!
Please also intend to stay to help clean up the work space. Many hands make light work :)
